Child Development

Bethany College offers an Associate of Arts degree in Child Development that qualifies graduates for certified child development associate status. The two-year curriculum is designed to prepare individuals for successful careers in the ever-important, and always rewarding field of child development.

Requirements

Undergraduate: GPA of 2.0 (4.0 scale) or better on all prior school work, SAT/ACT scores (transfer students with at least 24 college semester units may be exempt), high school diploma or the equivalent, at least 23 years of age, completion of all application materials, and sympathy with the college's doctrinal statement.

Arts and Humanities Degree

Originally founded (1919) as a training school for Glad Tidings temple of San Francisco, Bethany College has evolved into the official leadership preparation school of the Assemblies of God, Northern California and Nevada District. The school, which now sits on the hills of the Santa Cruz mountains, became a 4-year degree-granting program in 1955. Its External Degree Program was launched in 1992 and provides students of the Distance Learning community the opportunity to immense themselves in spiritual, academic, and professional development.
