At Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, the Journalism faculty believes that the best way to learn to become an outstanding writer is through a combination of instruction and real-world application. Requirements
Undergraduate: high school diploma/GED, academic history/work experience considered. Education majors must reside within 200 miles of campus. Graduate: bachelor's degree. Certificate: English Composition required if not previously taken.

Saint Mary of the Woods College was established in 1840. Their contemporary curriculum can be obtained traditionally or through the Women’s External Degree Program (WEB est.1973). The WEB implicates five-month programs structured for flexible independent study, offering more then twenty-five majors. Saint Mary of the Woods is accredited by The North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
