Master of Science in Education - Middle / Secondary Literacy

The M.S.Ed. degree with a concentration in literacy, offered in cooperation with Pearson Achievement Solutions, is a distance learning program that offers teachers the opportunity to further specialize their degree by choosing between an elementary or middle/secondary concentration. The curriculum is designed to improve teaching practice through the implementation of four thematic strands: Action Research, Professional Portfolio, Technology, and Learning Communities. The program utilizes an interactive mix of best practice videos and web-based interaction to provide teachers the flexibility of learning anywhere they have access to a VCR and the Internet.
