Online Social Science Degrees, Programs, and Courses

Memorial University of Newfoundland was originally chartered Memorial University College in 1925 to remember and honor local men who had lost their lives in World War I. A quarter century later it became a degree-conferring institution. Shortly after that, it began its distance education courses to nearby residents. The program is formatted in such a way to accommodate those in areas with low media availability just as efficiently as those with access to the latest technologies. After over 30 years of providing distance education opportunities, Memorial now offers more than 250 undergraduate and graduate courses (most of which are delivered via the internet) in eight different schools, representing more than 20 disciplines.
