The College of San Mateo’s accounting program prepares students for the CPA, EA, or CTEC professional licenses. They offer five Accounting Certificates of Completion and two different career tracks: Accounting Assistant and Tax preparer. These Certificates prepare students for transferal to a bachelor’s degree program.
Requirements
Undergraduate: age 18, high school diploma, or passed California Proficiency Examinations. High school juniors or equivalent may be admitted concurrently with permission.

Program at College of San Mateo
Founded in 1922, The College of San Mateo is beautifully situated upon 153 acres with panoramic views of the California bay area. The institution is the oldest of three in the County Community College District. San Mateo is a two-year college accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc. Their distance learning program, established in 1977, continues to grow and evolve, and now offers over eighty-five online courses.
