Archaeology
The University College of the University of Maine System’s Classical Studies Certificate program studies the time period between the Bronze Age and the fall of Rome. From language to law, to politics to culture, curriculum will address all aspects of life in the classical era. This epoch comprises the basis of western civilization, and is examined in-depth for the purpose of gaining a more profound understanding of where we are today as individuals and as a society.

University College is part of the University of Maine System which is comprised of seven different institutions. UC offers more than 200 courses and programs at over 75 locations permeated throughout Maine in addition to the world wide web. This system currently caters to over four-thousand students working to further their careers or continue on a life-long journey of learning.
