Accounting
At the University of Maryland, University College accounting majors learn all the skills needed to succeed in today's competitive job market. All the basics are covered, from budgeting to accounting systems to accounting issues related to both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Course teaching provides information, knowledge, and experience, as well as guidelines for analytical strategies and methods of critical thinking. Graduates of UMUC's Accounting program leave prepared to undertake further studies or begin productive careers.
Requirements
Undergraduate: Accredited high school diploma, GED score of at least 225 and no score below 40 on any of the tests. Graduate: bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university and an overall GPA of at least 3.0. Students with a GPA of 2.5 or better can apply for provisional status.
