Goddard College, since being chartered in 1938 as an experimental institution, has always been committed to progressive higher learning. Accredited in 1959 by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Goddard has year after year demonstrated its dedication to educating adults as well as younger students. Recognizing that education and career are not mutually exclusive, in 1963 the school began the first low-residency undergraduate studies program.
