The University of Windsor was founded in 1857 as a Roman Catholic university, but in 1963, alongside the acquisition of a new campus, became a nondenominational institution. Now a member of the International Association of Universities, UW began offering distance education opportunities in various fields of study 1989.

Science Degree
The University of Windsor offers a Bachelor of Science (General Science) degree consisting of thirty courses.
