Paralegal Studies

The Paralegal Studies program offered at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College was designed and is continually updated by attorneys, educators, and working paralegals, keeping it at the forefront of paralegal programs. A member of the American Association for Paralegal Education, SMWC's program prepares students to take on the myriad roles of paralegals, which include interviewing clients and witnesses, investigation and analysis of relevant records and files, and maintaining a law library.

Requirements

Undergraduate: high school diploma/GED, academic history/work experience considered. Education majors must reside within 200 miles of campus. Graduate: bachelor's degree. Certificate: English Composition required if not previously taken.

Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College

Saint Mary of the Woods College was established in 1840. Their contemporary curriculum can be obtained traditionally or through the Women’s External Degree Program (WEB est.1973). The WEB implicates five-month programs structured for flexible independent study, offering more then twenty-five majors. Saint Mary of the Woods is accredited by The North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
