Health Care Administration / Management
Mountain State University’s Health Care Management program is provided in conjunction with the School of Health Sciences. The program focuses on the management of information pertaining to research, education, and patient care while combining medical science, information technologies, and business applications. Their senior year students enrolled in the Capstone project have the opportunity to work with employers who provide vital on the job experience.

Mountain State University was founded as a private, non-profit establishment in 1933 during the Great Depression. In the beginning they sought to provide affordable, quality education for the youth of southern West Virginia. Today Mountain State University offers bachelor and graduate programs while continuing to honor their founding philosophy that every individual should have the opportunity to obtain an education to maximize their potential. In 1995 the School of Extended Distance Learning was founded. It offers numerous degree programs for those with active lifestyles and schedules.
