Nursing

The Department of Nursing at National University is dedicated to educational excellence in the rapidly growing field of nursing. Through distance learning, NU offers four nursing degrees that will prepare participants for successful nursing careers: A.S. in Nursing; B.S. in Nursing Generic Entry; Licensed Vocational Nurse to Associate of Science in Nursing; and Licensed Vocational Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Requirements

Undergraduate: Five years work experience. Transfer students must have a cumulative GPA greater then or equal to 2.0. Graduate: GPA 2.5 from a regionally accredited university. Certificate: Varies.

National University

A relatively young institution of higher learning, since its inception in 1971 National University was among the first to focus on meeting the distinctive needs of adult learners. Founded as an independent, nonprofit institution, it's grown to be the second-largest private university in California. Up to 100 online courses are offered each month in NU's unique, intensive one-course-per-month format. Fields of study include business, technology, education, and criminal justice. NU students have access to the university's online resources, including nearly 40,000 electronic books and journals, making educational opportunities challenging, relvevant, and readily available to a diverse population of adult learners.
