Social Work
In 1941, The School of Social Work was inaugurated in order to train individuals for careers as professional social workers. After 28 years of service to surrounding communities, the school merged with Dalhousie University, and has continued to grow and expand ever since. Today, students can earn a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work through the University’s distance education program. Combining traditional instruction with 700 hours of mandatory field placement experience, graduates of the Social Work program find themselves prepared for successful careers in all social work related fields.
