Journalism

The Regent University School of Communication and the Arts offers a Master of Arts degree in Journalism to all those desiring to make a difference in the world via media and education. The curriculum provides an environment in which students will sharpen their professional skills and improve upon their understanding of effective truthful and redemptive story-telling in print media, television, and the Internet.

Requirements

Undergraduate: at least 3 years of professional work experience, at least 45 transferable undergraduate credits (min. 2.5 GPA), writing sample, Community Life Form, 2 professional recommendations. Graduate & Doctoral: accredited 4-year bachelor's degree (non-accredited degrees considered on an individual basis), cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.75 (3.0 in desired area), submission of test scores (MAT, GMAT, GRE, etc., depending on school requirement), maturity in spiritual and/or character qualities, personal goals consistent with Regent's mission and goals and additional admissions criteria as determined by the individual schools. Accelerated Scholars and Pro-undergraduate credits and significant life experience in professional area to enter a master's program. Certificate: varies by program.
